Iran backs cutting innovation and stone-waste recovery
In its October 12 account, the Iran Stone Association reports deputy minister Vajiollah Jafari’s support for innovation in stone cutting. Discussions covered turning waste into products and removing barriers to reuse. The announcement outlines support priorities rather than specifying incentives already available.
Editorial context
An editorial reading should separate the availability of offcuts from the existence of a saleable product. Piece dimensions, consistency, additional processing and the intended application are different questions. Recovery has a commercial rationale when the resulting product has a defined use, rather than treating every residue as a sales opportunity.
The development therefore raises supply-chain organisation questions as well as technology. This interpretation is not an investment plan: the announcement does not establish an economic outcome that applies to every business.
