Xiamen: eight designers explore stone in everyday objects

Stone-Ideas.com published its third retrospective look at Xiamen Stone Fair 2026’s “Stone Infinite Product Design Show” on 22 October. The project’s eighth edition, titled “Harmony of Stones”, brought eight designers and stone companies together around furniture and installations made with marble, granite, onyx and other stones.

The works described include tables, stools, a vase and a lamp. Some explore adhesive-free joints, hollow modules or translucent stone, while others combine different materials so that colour and veining become part of the object’s structure.

For the supply chain, the relevance lies in exploring uses beyond conventional slabs and cladding. The descriptions come from the fair and its participants: they document design intentions and prototypes, but do not establish serial production, certified technical performance or market demand.
