Greece: first-half stone exports reach $158 million
Focus Piedra’s 26 October report cites Confindustria Marmomacchine analysis of UN Comtrade: Greek natural-stone exports totalled approximately $158 million in the first half of 2026, down 2.2% year on year.
China and Saudi Arabia grew by 18.2% and 15.5%, respectively. Average export value fell to $387.70 per tonne.
Editorial perspective: an overall decline can coexist with opportunities in particular destinations. Competitive comparisons require separate consideration of blocks, finished goods and grades. A customs average combines different products and is not a price list. The figures help identify markets for closer investigation but cannot establish the profitability of an individual sale.
